CommunityWorks is excited to announce the CommunityWorks Learning Center, located in JudHub at The Warehouse at Judson Mill.
Next door to BlocHaven, Feed&Seed, and other soon-to-be-named tenants, this collaborative space will allow us to host more in-person community economic development trainings and provide entrepreneurs and community partners with hands-on support, learning opportunities, and resources.
Judson Mill was built in 1912 as a textile mill, but was sitting unoccupied until recently. CommunityWorks recognizes the deep history of this neighborhood, and hopes to be part of positive revitalization that benefits the entire community. As a nonprofit loan fund, CommunityWorks is committed to supporting small businesses, entrepreneurs and affordable housing opportunities as part of the Mill’s renovation and the neighborhood’s revitalization. At the CommunityWorks Learning Center, we will offer classes, workshops and programs focused on entrepreneurship training and opportunities to access capital for business growth, affordable housing, and homeownership.
The center will open later this summer, with plans for a grand opening. Here’s what to expect:
- Free + affordable training sessions and events related to finances, development, and entrepreneurship
- Events to help community members, specifically minority and women business owners, connect
- Office hours for entrepreneurs to meet with CommunityWorks’ business coaches
