Due to the lack of affordable financing for community developers, there is a deficit of affordable housing options for low-wealth families. These families often spend more than 50% of their monthly income on housing, when it should be below 30%.

CommunityWorks provides community developers access to financing that would otherwise be unavailable for low-wealth community building projects. We provide loans up to $500,000 to support affordable housing development, community facilities, and commercial revitalization to help strengthen low-wealth communities.

CommunityWorks continues to monitor and evaluate the most current information regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) as part of our commitment to the health and welfare of our staff, partners and clients.

In an effort to keep our staff as well as our community safe and healthy, our office will be temporarily closed to the public. However, our operation will remain intact. We have instituted a work from home policy to ensure we continue supporting our clients, small businesses and community partners.
